Dalian Renewable Resources Market went into operation on Monday at Dalian High-tech Industrial Zone.
The market provides a nationwide electronic transaction platform for renewable resources, farm and sideline products, and agricultural production materials. It is expected to upgrade the traditional transaction pattern and promote the recycling of resources in these fields.
The products listed for trading currently include recycled copper, steel, and plastic. In March 2013, two other products will be listed. It plans to launch a new product every two months.
The market has attracted more than 200 registered members. It has signed cooperative contracts with dozens of industrial associations, quality inspection institutions, warehousing and logistics companies, and banks to guarantee the service.
Based in Dalian, one of the biggest ports in Northeast Asia, the market aims to build a trading center covering the whole country.
