Yunnan panax notoginseng has good market prospects

"China Yunnan Wenshan Panax notoginseng characteristics international forum" has opened in Wenshan, Yunnan province. The theme of the forum is "innovation, development and international standards."
Because of the unique soil and climatic advantages, Yunnan Wenshan prefecture is becoming the largest and best plant area inChina.
More than 50 domestic and foreign enterprises were involved in the project negotiations with a total of 15 projects signed, and the project agreement of investment set at 3.221 billion yuan. The 15 projects include Panax notoginseng cultivation, product development and processing and Panax notoginseng drugs factory construction. But also include biological resources development, Panax notoginseng's nursery base construction projects in such areas.
Wenshan has planted 80 million square yard of Panax notoginseng in Wenshan GAP planting base. In each square yard they spend 2000 yuan for seeds, fertilizer, labor costs and management fees.
The chairman of Yunnan Wenshan Co Yu Yuqi said that, from 2001 to 2005, more than 90% of the Panax notoginseng was exported, mainly toJapan,South Korea, Europe and theUnited States. After 2005, Chinese people began to understand Panax notoginseng's benefits, and they become to hold the high level market in China. Next, the company will increase investment in deep-processing with plans to spend 30 million yuan to build a Panax notoginseng food and health products factory.
Yu Yuqi believes that more people understand and accept Panax notoginseng's high pharmaceutical value and many pharmaceutical companies will start to use Panax notoginseng as a raw material. He believes the price will not increase next year.
Panax notoginseng is one of the best Chinese herbal medicines, and will become part of the characteristics of Yunnan Wenshan.
