HK to issue special stamp to celebrate National Day

HONG KONG: Hongkong Post Friday announced that a set of stamps and a stamp sheetlet on the theme of "60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" would be released on October 1.

Founded on October 1, 1949, the People's Republic of China celebrates her 60th anniversary this year. In celebrate of this occasion, China Post, Hongkong Post and Macao Post will jointly issue a souvenir pack on the same day, where three stamp sheetlets issued by the respective Posts under this stamp theme are presented in se-tenant style.

The set of six stamps issued by Hongkong Post is based on the winning entry in the Stamp Design Competition for the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China jointly organized by the Home Affairs Bureau, Radio Television Hong Kong.
