Supermom dog jumps three stories to feed pups

A caring mother of five newborn puppies, which was locked inside a house, jumped three stories down to feed her hungry babies.

Residents in Changli, a county of Hebei province, started feeding the stray dog two years ago. Early last week, the dog gave birth and became more popular than ever.

A warmhearted family took it home and fed it but accidentally locked her inside.

Hearing the cries from her puppies outside, the dog threw itself out of a window, a man surnamed Kan told reporters on Monday.

"Touched by its motherhood, more neighbors fed the injured dog with fine foods, which helped it recover soon," he said. "Now, both the dog mother and her babies are doing well."
