Parents hire teacher to attend school meetings

Several parents in Shanghai have hired an experienced teacher to attend parent-teacher meetings on their behalf.

Hu, an English teacher, was recently paid by a busy real estate developer to attend a meeting.

Xi, the developer, also asked Hu to help provide him with professional suggestions and work out a plan to help improve his son's studies.

Hu posed as the student's uncle at the meeting. He said as a teacher he could communicate well with the teachers and offer good instructions to students.
