Qian Yunlu is elected vice-chairman of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at the fourth plenary meeting of the First Session of the 11th CPPCC National Committee in Beijing, capital of China, March 13, 2008. [Xinhua]

Qian Yunlu

Male, born in October 1944, of Han ethnic group, native of Dawuin Hubei Province. Joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June 1965.

Member of the 17th CPC Central Committee, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the 11th CPPCC National Committee and member of its Leading Party Members' Group, secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, director of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress.

1963-1968 Studying at the Hubei University, majoring in statistics

1968-1970 Working in the Sanli Commune of the Dawu County in Hubei

1970-1973 Secretary of the publicity department of CPC Dawu County Committee, secretary of the organization department of the CPC Xiaogan Prefecture Committee, member of the standing committee of the Communist Youth League of Xiaogan
