Torrential rains will hit southeastern Sichuan, western Chongqing, southern Anhui and central Jiangsu, according to the administration.

Floods have left 94 people dead and 25 others missing in seven provinces in China, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Sunday.

About 16.67 million people had been affected and 555,100 people in Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Chongqing and Shaanxi evacuated by 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

Hundreds of thousands of houses were damaged and millions of hectares of farmland affected.

Meanwhile, the CMA has warned local people of high temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius in some areas to the south of the Yangtze River, central and eastern parts of south China, central Shannxi Province, southern Shanxi Province, northwestern Henan Province, Turpan Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China, and western Inner Mongolia. on Monday.

Central and southern Zhejiang, central Jiangxi and Turpan Basin may see the mercury hit 37 to 38 degrees.
