"With a donation of 50 million yuan over three years, our actions will make a huge difference to under-privileged children and youth, in maximizing their true potential and fulfilling all our dreams of a brighter future," said Grace, a father of five. "The fund can make the most effective contribution with programs that reach out across all of China to the remotest regions of the country where access to educational resources and facilities is more difficult to get, and touch the hearts of children and youth most in need." The fund is structured around four pillars, each of which focuses on a particular area of societal development: sport, road safety education, children and youth development and social care, which includes supporting medical care in rural regions and disaster relief.

Jaguar Land Rover delivers on all fronts. Wolfgang Ziebart, director for group engineering, leads the development of cars that fulfill expectations by being smarter, more connected, and cleaner than ever before.
"Visitors to the Beijing auto show this week will get the opportunity to see our latest technology that is delivering on that promise, as well as pointing to the future of our portfolio," said Ziebart. At the show, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Hybrids demonstrate the company's pioneering position in lightweight and diesel hybrid technology. "As the world's first premium diesel hybrid SUVs, which are made of innovative lightweight aluminum body technology, the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Hybrids couple the efficiency of diesel engines with the flexibility of electric drive, providing more choice for environmentally conscious Chinese customers," said Ziebart. Being lightweight is a key element in Jaguar Land Rover's overall equation to achieve fuel efficiency.
This is seen with the C-X17, a concept vehicle first showcased in China at last year's Guangzhou auto show. "Providing a tantalizing glimpse into the future, the C-X17 concept is a study that traces out the future of our new advanced aluminum monocoque architecture," said Ziebart.
Constantly trying to push the boundaries of innovation, Jaguar Land Rover invests heavily in research for electric drive for premium vehicles. Its efforts include a 16.3-million-pound 'Evoque_e' collaborative research project to develop new hybrid and battery electric technology.
In line with the trend of staying connected wherever their journey takes them, Jaguar Land Rover not only seeks to enhance the infotainment and navigation systems on its vehicles, but also makes sure that these are tailored to market needs.
Mandarin language infotainment systems are already on offer in its vehicle line-up in China. Ziebart also gave his own personal insights into the direction of future developments by saying that "our customers tell us that any Jaguar Land Rover developments in the future still need to involve the emotions. Whether you are driving a Jaguar or a Land Rover you want an emotional connection and a thrilling drive - it is about enhancing the driver experience. Our engineering team is working on this today."
