Domestic car and motorcycle manufacturers could be disqualified from exports business if they cause "severe quality problems" in overseas markets that lead to "significant adverse effects", according to a recent notice on the Ministry of Commerce website.

Infringement on intellectual property rights could also result in disqualification, the notice said.

In addition, it is requiring qualified exporters to have overseas after-sale services facilities commensurate with their export volume.
