TV maker TCL's overseas sales surge in March

SHANGHAI - China's top TV maker, TCL Corp, said Monday its March overseas sales of LCD TVs more than doubled in Europe and more than tripled in emerging markets.
The growth rates for the two markets from January to March were 147.3 percent and 352.1 percent, respectively, while sales in China grew by 56.2 percent.
The company sold 401,3000 units of LCD TVs in March, up 10.93 percent from the same period last year, bringing first quarter sales to 1.93 million units, up 60.77 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, the company's sales of mobile phones and air-conditioners also surged, doubling from the previous period, the company said.
