Guangdong gas pipeline network construction starts

The first phase of the natural gas pipeline network project in Guangdong Province, south China, broke ground recently, with a total investment of nearly 7 billion yuan. The annual supply capacity is designed to be 16 billion cubic meters.

Linking seven cities including Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, and Shaoguan, Phase I of the project is 486 kilometers long. It will likely be connected with the second pipeline of the West-East Natural Gas Transmission Project and the Sichuan-to-East China Gas Transmission pipeline.
