Index continues rising, 02/07(China Daily)Updated: 2007-02-08 10:01 China's main stock index climbed 1.51 percent higher yesterday, after Tuesday's rebound convinced some that the downward trend of the past week might be over. The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 2716.175. Turnover in Shanghai A shares grew to 77.3 billion yuan (US$9.97 billion) from Tuesday's 67.8 billion yuan.
