Jaguar Land Rover taps provider for warranties

Jaguar Land Rover's global sales rose from 357,773 units in 2012 to 425,006 units in 2013, an increase of 19 percent.

The significant growth is mainly driven by increasing demands from markets of Brazil, China, India and the United States.

The Jaguar brand sold 76,668 units globally, increasing 42 percent and accounting for 18 percent of the company's total sales volume.

About 85 percent of the British carmaker's revenue came from exports, and statistics showed that China was its largest market by sales last year.

A total of 95,237 cars have been sold in China in 2013, up 30 percent from 2012.

Sales of Jaguar increased more than 100 percent while Land Rover grew 17 percent.

"In 2013, our insurance premium exceeded 200 billion yuan, ranking first among property and casualty insurance companies in Asia," said Wang Dedi, vice-president of PICC P&C. With more than 4,500 affiliated agencies and over 13,000 outlets throughout China, it has the largest service network of all domestic insurance companies.

The State-owned insurer reported 115.6 billion yuan of revenue in the first half of 2013, increasing 14.3 percent year-on-year and grabbing 35.3 percent of the market share, according to the company's financial report.

Vehicle insurance is the most important business of the company. Revenue from the operation amounted to 79.3 billion yuan in the same period, up 13.4 percent from a year earlier.

Revenue from other sectors grew 16.3 percent to 36.3 billion yuan.
