Wu emphasizes Ningbo's pragmatic approach to innovation: from the early days of small mold and appliance workshops to today's advanced equipment and new material producers, local firms rely on meticulous craftsmanship and steady technical improvement. Crises are seen as opportunities: in Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo, companies leverage economic and market challenges to expand output and employment.
