David Buckley, chair of the board of governors of the Yehudi Menuhin School, said: "For Menuhin, music was never only about excellence; it was about understanding, humanity, and connection. Today, that vision lives on in two sister schools here in the United Kingdom and in China."
He also noted the bonds of friendship formed between the students of both schools.
"Over recent days, they have rehearsed together, learned from one another, and formed genuine friendships. Tonight, you're not simply witnessing a concert, you are witnessing cooperation in action. This is cultural exchange in its most natural and hopeful form."
