A female giant panda named Qianzhen arrived in Shanghai on Feb 6 and has begun settling in at Shanghai Wild Animal Park, the park announced on Feb 7.

Transferred from the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan province, Qianzhen is in stable condition as she adjusts to her new home in Shanghai.

According to the Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Qianzhen will meet the public after completing an adaptation period.

To welcome the panda, the zoo formulated a customized transfer and care plan, with keepers accompanying the panda throughout the entire relocation process.

Born in 2020, Qianzhen is known for her relatively short snout and calm temperament. She is the younger sister of Qianjin, another giant panda at the zoo and the mother of twin cubs born last year.

Qianjin's twin cubs, Qianran and Qianyi, are scheduled to make their public debut during the Spring Festival holiday.
