Expats dive into Jinan's winter charm, Spring Festival atmosphere
A group of expats from 15 countries, including Russia, France, Egypt and Morocco, who are currently studying or working in Jinan, visited Jiuru Mountain on Feb 4.
The winter ice waterfall made a strong impression on the visitors, who also participated in activities like writing Chinese character fu (blessing), making sachets, and baking pastries, experiencing local traditions firsthand.
Quentin Alonzi, a French student at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, described Jiuru Mountain as a fantastic spot to visit, particularly for its remarkable ice waterfall.
Kapustina Elzaveta from Russia regarded the area as an excellent spot for taking beautiful photographs, thanks to its landscapes.
Jiuru Mountain, located in southern Jinan, is an iconic landmark of the city. By combining its snow, ice, and handicrafts, it has transformed the region's winter resources into a successful cultural tourism economy.
