China awards medals to Shenzhou-20 astronauts

BEIJING -- The three astronauts who participated in the Shenzhou-20 crewed mission were on Wednesday awarded medals for their contributions to China's space program.

Chen Dong was presented with a first-class aerospace achievement medal. Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie received a third-class aerospace achievement medal, as well as the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut."

The award decision was jointly made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.
