In 2025, China's automotive industry achieved multiple breakthroughs, with data showing its strong resilience and dynamic growth. Last year, the country produced 34.53 million vehicles and sold 34.4 million units — remaining first globally for 17 consecutive years in both production and sales. Meanwhile, the new energy vehicle sector maintained its global leadership for the 11th consecutive year. NEV sales accounted for more than 50 percent of total domestic vehicle sales in 2025, emerging as a dominant force in the market.
