PLA drills: a clear warning over US arms sales

The PLA Eastern Theater Command has launched the "Justice Mission 2025" drills around the Taiwan Island. Since Nancy Pelosi's provocative visit to Taiwan, this marks the seventh PLA drill encircling the island. A clear pattern is taking shape. Every move by the Taiwan authorities or external forces is met with tighter pressure — shorter notice, faster actions, and closing in.

The message is blunt. In the Taiwan Strait, the PLA has the upper hand. The PLA decides when to drill. The PLA decides how close to go. And if necessary, drills can turn into real combat — at any moment.

Why now? The answer is obvious: US arms sales. Just days ago, the US State Department pushed through an $11.1 billion arms package for Taiwan, including 82 HIMARS long-range precision strike systems, 420 Army Tactical Missile Systems, plus drones and more. This single deal exceeds the total US arms sales to Taiwan during Biden's entire four-year term. And the nature of the weapons has changed. This is no longer "defensive". These are clearly offensive systems.

Let's be clear: The "Justice Mission 2025" is a firm and justified response to US arms sales to Taiwan, and a stern warning to Lai Ching-te's push for "Taiwan independence" and external interference.
