China a 'critical frontier' for the future of healthcare, J&J MedTech China president says

The China International Import Expo reinforces China's unwavering commitment to high-standard opening-up and an improved business climate, Edward Zhou, president of Johnson & Johnson MedTech China, said.

Zhou made the remarks after the opening of the eighth CIIE in Shanghai on Wednesday. "The CIIE serves as a powerful example of China's commitment — serving not only as a gateway for global innovations to enter the market, but also as a dynamic hub where cross-sector insights and collaborations converge, opening up new possibilities for industries ahead."

Zhou noted that "China is not only pivotal to Johnson & Johnson's global strategy, but also serves as both a critical frontier for shaping the future of healthcare and a dynamic platform for driving innovation." 

"Over three decades, Johnson & Johnson MedTech has deeply woven itself into the fabric of China's healthcare ecosystem and continues to actively contribute to its modernization and resilience," Zhou said. "China's robust drive for industrial innovation and 'new quality productive forces' powerfully resonates with our shared ambition for high-quality growth in the health sector."
