Taicang signs over 20 projects with central SOEs

Located just 38 kilometers from Shanghai, Taicang is the closest county-level city to the metropolis, linked by six intercity highways. With the northern extension of Shanghai's Jiading–Minhang railway line expected to open in 2028, the two cities will achieve seamless rail connectivity, making commuting between them as convenient as travelling across Shanghai itself.

Taicang Port, one of China's busiest inland river ports, handled over 8.3 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) last year, ranking 20th worldwide. Its complete vehicle exports account for more than 8 percent of the national total.
