Integration of digital technology and cultural heritage takes center stage at WIC forum in Xi'an

The deep integration of digital technology and cultural heritage will take center stage at the upcoming 2025 World Internet Conference Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum. The forum, which is set to take place in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, from Sept 16 to 17, will hold discussions on four key topics: Protection and Inheritance, Technology and Innovation, Industry and Empowerment, as well as Openness and Collaborative Governance.

As digital technology breathes new life into cultural heritage that has endured for thousands of years, and cutting-edge tools such as AI, AR, and 3D modeling are making restoration and exhibitions smarter, digital heritage is increasingly empowering tourism, education, as well as cultural and creative industries.
