China's State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- China's State Council on Friday announced the appointment and removal of several officials.

Song Xiude was appointed head of China's National Railway Administration.

Liao Zhiwei was named director of the Changjiang Water Resources Commission.

Zhu Chengqing no longer serves as vice minister of water resources.

Tang Wenhong was removed from the post of assistant minister of commerce.
