The Horqin and Hunshandak sandy lands in northeastern China were once major sources of dust storms that impacted the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Today, these sandy areas are being transformed through innovative anti-desertification efforts — evolving from individual pine seedlings to extensive forests along their sandy borders.
