Top 10 theatrical performances of 2024 announced

CPAA Theatres has announced the top 10 most influential performances of 2024 across dance, musicals, drama, children's theater, and concerts.

A Tapestry of a Legendary Land, inspired by the iconic scroll A Thousand Miles of Streams and Mountains, topped the dance drama list. The National Theatre of China's Four Generations Under One Roof, based on Lao She's novel, ranked first among dramas, offering a nostalgic glimpse into old Beijing.

The English production of The Phantom of the Opera led the musical category, while A Magical Night in Dunhuang was named the top children's theater performance. The Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Orchestra's Joe Hisaishi Anime Theme Concert highlighted the concert list.
