Relocation of power lines paves way for high-speed railway construction

Earlier in November, at the site of the 220 kV I II Yanying Line located at Hailongwangmiao village, Luohe city of Henan Province, workers were busy carrying out the relocation work, sealing the power net and unfolding the wire and optical cable.

“The 220 kV Ⅰ Ⅱ Yanying line under power outage construction is the most time-consuming one of the Ping-Luo-Zhou High-speed Railway line relocation project, and it is also the most difficult one to put into operation,” project manager Zhang Mingjun said.

The Ping-Luo-Zhou High-speed Railway line starts from Pingdingshan West Station of Zheng-Wan High-speed Railway, running from south to north and leading to Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway Luohe West Station. It ends at Zhoukou East Station of Zheng-Fu High-speed Railway.

The relocation work involves 30 power lines in Luohe that affect the construction and operation of the high-speed railway line. And the State Grid Luohe Power Supply Company coordinates the planning and implementation to ensure the orderly and steady progress of the relocation.

According to Zhang Mingjun, the project manager, this is a huge test for the power firm’s comprehensive organizing, coordination and construction capabilities.

Up to now, the relocation of 16 lines has been completed, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the Ping-Luo-Zhou high-speed Railway project.
