State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company: Refines measures to ensure wheat drinking 'winter water'

On Nov 11, 2024, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company organized staff members to conduct a comprehensive "physical examination" on the power facilities of farmland wells in areas such as Tianjiang, Zhangjin, Liuyang and Guozhuang villages in Yicheng town, in accordance with the concept of fine operation and maintenance and ensuring smooth electricity flow. Special patrols and protection measures were implemented to ensure the safe operation of equipment and provide guarantees for winter wheat irrigation.

A safe and reliable power supply is the key to irrigating wheat with water, ensuring a safe winter season. Entering the beginning of the winter season, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has taken early and refined measures to improve the level of power supply services, ensuring that wheat can consume "winter water" with sufficient electricity supply.

Considering the high standard farmland, wide distribution of power distribution facilities and numerous machinery wells in the Jiyuan area, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has selected 230 staff members and established 115 inspection teams to carefully inspect the power lines, distribution station areas, distribution station buildings and the surrounding environment of machinery wells in the fields, while implementing risk prevention measures.

In response to aging wires in power supporting facilities of farmland wells, loose connection points of distribution equipment and the accumulation of dry grass and debris around the power facilities, the company's staff have promptly reported and addressed the issues to ensure safety, stability and availability at all times, providing "full grid electricity" for wheat irrigation.

In view of the current low rainfall and increasing field irrigation activities, the State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Company has integrated the resources of five central power supply stations and six power supply service stations, established 179 power supply service grids and ventured deep into the fields to handle electrical issues and solve the problem of electricity consumption for the masses.

At the same time, 399 exclusive WeChat groups for "one village, one group" power supply services will be utilized to quickly respond to customer needs, follow up on power supply guarantees and provide convenient services such as electricity consultation, on-site testing and fault handling at any time.

In addition, the company is focused on inspecting 119 distribution lines and 33 substations responsible for supplying power to rural areas in the suburbs and adopting a combination of "machine inspection+personnel inspection" and "daily inspection+special inspection". Taking into account factors such as severe weather, the company has strengthened the operation and maintenance of power lines and equipment to improve the level of power security and ensure consistent electricity supply for wheat irrigation during the winter season.
