Former senior provincial political advisor under probe

BEIJING -- A senior political advisor of Southwest China's Sichuan province is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and the law, an official statement said Tuesday.
Cui Baohua, a former deputy secretary of the leading Party members group of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice-chairman of the committee, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
