Drone captures rare moment: Porpoises frolic at sea
A social media creator used a drone to film a stunning scene of 15 narrow-ridged finless porpoises frolicking in the sea on Sunday in Dalian, Liaoning province.
According to the videographer, Li Mi, he was in the waters off Guangludao town in Changhai county, when he encountered the porpoises. The nationally protected animals playfully accompanied the passing rubber boat, occasionally leaping out of the water.
Changhai is the only island border county in China, located on the eastern side of the Liaodong Peninsula in the northern Yellow Sea.
The county has implemented an "ecology first" development strategy in recent years, leading to gradual improvements in the nearshore marine ecological environment. It is also building the Changshan archipelago into a national tourist resort.
