Scientific and technological cooperation has injected new vitality into exchanges between China and Arab countries

The Sixth China-Arab States Expo kicked off on Thursday in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region. Simultaneously, the China-Arab States Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference was held. To discuss these events, we invited Dr. Chen Fang, who is deputy director general of the Department of Science and Technology of Ningxia to share with us his thoughts about China-Arab cooperation in science and technology.

According to Dr. Chen, the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Center is a national-level technology transfer platform which was co-established by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Ningxia government in 2015. The center is responsible for four main achievements. First, a batch of China-Arab science and technology cooperation platforms has been set up. Second, a series of matchmaking activities has been held for China-Arab States technology transfer. Third, professional training workshops have been carried out. Fourth, the industrialization of the technology transferred between China and Arab countries has been promoted.
