Rare metal export control reasonable, legitimate

Nothing but an international norm

First of all, implementing export controls on goods such as gallium and germanium products is a common practice among major countries worldwide, including some Western countries. Since it is not unique to China, it will be unfair to criticize China for adopting such measures. In fact, Western countries, including Europe, the United States, and Japan, have even stricter export control policies. This is an international norm.

Second, we have legal grounds for implementing these export controls. China has relevant laws such as the Foreign Trade Law and the Customs Law. These laws provide a basis for export control measures.

Third, these measures are motivated by considerations of national security. This is a universally recognized practice among countries worldwide to safeguard their own national security interests.
