3 universities capture honors in robotics competition
After three days of competition, three teams — from Northeast Forestry University, Harbin Engineering University and Dalian University of Technology — won top honors at the RoboMasters College League Competition 2023 Heilongjiang Division on Sunday.
The event, kicked off on Friday at Harbin Engineering University in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, attracting more than 300 participants from 16 colleges across the country.
Under the rules, contestants must control their robots to attack enemy's robots by launching projectiles onto a designated battlefield. At the end, the team with the highest survival rate wins.
The RoboMaster competition, which is sponsored by local academic institutions, aims to encourage college students to promote regional exchanges of robotics technology, create a strong academic atmosphere and contribute to regional technological innovation and development.
"During the process, we harvested a lot of new knowledge and experience, as well as enhanced out teamwork abilities," said Chen Yang, a participant from Harbin Engineering University. "We will continue to prepare for the national competition to achieve even better results."
