Make people in flexible employment covered by mandatory work injury insurance: TCL chairman
Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of Chinese consumer electronics maker TCL Technology Group Corp, suggested amending the Work-related Injury Insurance Regulations and making all workers, especially those with flexible employment, to be covered by mandatory work injury insurance.
Work injury insurance is a crucial part of China's job securities package that provides compensation for workplace injuries or death and also pays funeral costs.
He also recommended launching a separate insurance channel by innovating the approach to participate in and pay for the insurance, through digital and intelligent solutions.
A "one-click application for work injury insurance" is also suggested to access easier for workers with flexible employment to participate in the insurance.
