Former senior Hebei congress official faces disciplinary review
Wang Xuefeng, a former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress, has been placed under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision.
The CCDI and NCS, the country's top anti-graft watchdogs, issued a statement on Friday, saying that Wang is suspected of seriously violating Party disciplines and national laws and is under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.
Hebei native Wang, 68, began working in 1971 and joined the Party in 1973. He was appointed Party chief of Hebei's Tangshan city in August 2010 and elected vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress in January 2013.
He was resigned as vice-chairman in 2018.
