Ghanim Al Muftah, a Qatari activist for the disabled, born with the rare Caudal Regression Syndrome, appeared during the opening ceremony of Qatar 2022 and has won hearts around the world as an exceptional and inspiring character.
Despite of the disease which affects the development of the lower half of his body, Muftah has continued to take part in a range of extreme sports, including swimming, scuba diving, hiking and skateboarding.
At the 2022 World Cup, Muftah was appointed as a goodwill ambassador and a brand ambassador, to commend him for sharing his inspirational journey and encouraging people to achieve their dreams.
