My CIIE Story ? Great Opportunity: CIIE supports Alfa Laval achieve goal for accelerating sustainable solutions

Immersed in the tide of trade liberalization and economic globalization, we've witnessed the collision and integration of advanced ideas and concepts from all over the world at the China International Import Expo. In the past five years, CIIE has been improved in multiple dimensions, and Alfa Laval, as a witness, has also developed in tandem.

Alfa Laval was founded in 1883 by Gustaf de Laval, the inventor of the world's first separator. We have three key technologies - heat transfer, separation and fluid handling, and are committed to efficiency improvement in the industrial field and technological innovation for renewable energy.

In 2020, the group set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality across the value chain by 2030. To realize this ambition, we have put more effort to reshape the industry using science and technology, and have promoted innovation in the fields of new energy and low-carbon emission reduction. By doing so, we have made great achievements.

It has always been our goal to save energy, reduce emission, realize carbon neutrality, and promote sustainable development. Last year, the low-carbon energy and environmental protection technology special zone was set up at the Intelligent Industry & Information Technology area of CIIE for the first time.

This coincided with Alfa Laval's business focus and technological advantages, and fits our strategic goal for accelerating sustainable solutions. With this opportunity, Alfa Laval showcased its entire range of innovative technologies and best practices in energy transition and low-carbon emission reduction. We communicated with like-minded peers in the industry, and were deeply impressed by the extraordinary influence and cohesiveness of CIIE.

As a world-class expo, CIIE is incomparably comprehensive. We hope that Alfa Laval can present its technologies and innovations in sustainable development with the help of this platform. We have received strong support from the event organizers, and we are honored to be appointed as the vice-president company of the special committee for low-carbon energy and environmental technology of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance.

For us, the CIIE is not just a 6-day expo. We have witnessed the efforts behind its successful organization and are deeply impressed. Before the expo, the organizers arranged road shows and special committee activities to enable exhibitors to directly interact with the local governments.

Right before the fourth edition of the expo, another wave of COVID-19 hit, and colleagues from the CIIE Bureau worked all night on epidemic prevention matters. They notified enterprises to take relevant countermeasures, carried out strict prevention measures and made arrangements carefully so that we could participate in the expo smoothly and safely.

Alfa Laval attended the expo with its complete set of solutions for heat exchange, separation and fluid handling, which is efficient, energy-saving and innovative low-carbon. Alfa Laval's new products that were making their debut were introduced on a CCTV live broadcast, and contracts were signed between Alfa Laval and its main customers in China, including State-owned oil, gas and petrochemical enterprises such as PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, shipping companies and biopharmaceutical companies.

The 6 days at the expo resulted in remarkable achievements. Alfa Laval managed to fully showcase itself through a themed exhibition on accelerating sustainable solutions, including energy saving, efficiency improvement, low-carbon emission reduction and recycling. Such wonderful achievements have received unanimous recognition and high praise from the headquarters. We believe that the CIIE has provided an unprecedented and unmatched platform for promotion of enterprises.

This year, Alfa Laval will continue to exhibit its latest products and services in the low-carbon energy and environmental protection technology special zone at the fifth CIIE. We sincerely hope to communicate with the government, leading enterprises in the industry, and central and private enterprises in the energy sector.

We also hope that we, as exhibitors, can maintain the trends in the green economy, explore new paths for transformation in China's energy industry, and drive more enterprises to seize new opportunities for green economic development.

With the support of the CIIE, we hope to showcase, communicate, learn, and promote innovation and progress in low-carbon and environmental protection technology, so as to achieve carbon neutrality.
