GEMü CHINA, founded in 1998 and based in Shanghai, is one of the six production companies and butterfly valve production center of the group. As the center of R&D, production, sales, and logistic storage for the GEMü Group in the Asia-Pacific, GEMü CHINA is committed to providing high-quality products and services to customers in China and worldwide.

Business Development

Over the past 20 years, GEMü CHINA has developed rapidly, setting up branches in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenyang, and Hong Kong to comprehensively expand business in various regions and provide professional technical support & services. GEMü leads the biopharmaceutical and food & beverage valve market.

GEMü CHINA now has 303 employees. The total turnover in 2021 increased 77%, with PFB rising 141% and SEM 143% year-on-year. GEMü CHINA has earned a good reputation and has established a good cooperative relationship with customers.

Production Capability

In 2015,the manufacturing and administration building was established in Shanghai covering an area of 2,2000㎡, and the production and warehousing area is spread over 16,000 ㎡.

As the largest subsidiary of the GEMü Group, it can produce high-quality diaphragm valves, angle seat valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, etc. In 2019, according to the company's global manufacturing strategy, the GEMü butterfly valve production center was officially completed in Shanghai, which introduced many intelligent automated manufacturing equipment to ensure process reliability, quality stability, and efficient production. The production capacity of the GEMü butterfly valve production center can reach 240,000 sets per year and can meet the needs of the global market.

Customer-oriented & Application-focused

With a broad product range, GEMü CHINA offers solutions for different customer groups and applications, such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology and cosmetics industries, foodstuffs and beverages industries, industrial water treatment industries, chemical engineering industries and microelectronics & semiconductor industries. GEMü CHINA has developed numerous tailor-made products to meet different demands.

Social Responsibility

In the face of COVID-19, GEMü CHINA participated in almost all the COVID-19 vaccine projects in China as a key core component valve supplier, working with vaccine manufacturers.

Although there was a shortage of manpower and materials, GEMü CHINA overcame the difficulties to deliver qualified products on time and fulfilled its social responsibilities. At the same time, GEMü CHINA received praise and recognition from partners, such as a medal from the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products.

Honors and Reputation

GEMü CHINA has won many awards and is known as the invisible champion of the industry. In 2021, GEMü was honored as "Global Market Leader" for the sixth time in a row by WirtschaftsWoche, which praised GEMü's market leadership in the sector of "valves, process and control systems for sterile applications".

In January 2022, GEMü CHINA was named by the Minhang Government among "Core Enterprises in Minhang District 2021" because of its great contributions to regional economic construction.
