Since the establishment of EMAG's first office in Shanghai in 2004, we have closely synchronized with the rocketing growth and development of China's manufacturing industry. With three locations and nine technologies, EMAG has gained competitive advantage in Chinese market and obtained positive feedback from its customers.

With our innovative vertical pick-up turning machine, modular standard machine, comprehensive customized turnkey solutions, EMAG quickly gained a foothold when it first entered the Chinese market. EMAG Taicang was established in 2006, and then started local development and production to setup a local supply chain and implemented ISO9001 management systems to be able to better satisfy the demands of local customers. EMAG Taicang was expanded and moved to different locations three times and today has developed into a comprehensive manufacturing factory with pre-sales, sales, after-sales and technical support from a single source, operating on 10,000 square meters and well able to deliver 250 units of turnkey systems, consisting of all EMAG Group technologies and automation systems.

In 2014, EMAG Group continued making a significant investment in the Chinese market with the production base built in Jintan, Jiangsu province, which has become EMAG's second production facility in the world. Different from most foreign brands setting up production plants in China, EMAG Jintan has been designed as a machinery factory using 100% local resources from the very beginning. Today, EMAG Jintan has achieved an annual production capacity of 1000 units, which are sold and delivered to customers all around the world.

In order to be closer to customers, EMAG set up EMAG Chongqing to serve its customers in western China. This is the second market and technical service company of EMAG Group in China, with particular focus on the markets of Southwest China, Central China and Northwest China. Together with the EMAG Taicang and Jintan, EMAG has become one of the largest European machine tool manufacturers in China.

Today, the needs of customers are becoming clearer: optimized cycle time, best quality, lowest cost, smarter, sustainable improvement. Against this background, EMAG is one of the few suppliers in the world that can provide a complete range of process technologies and one-stop solutions for the entire processing chain of whole industries and has thus developed into a highly professional enterprise offering nine major technologies, namely turning chucked components, turning shafts, milling, grinding, gear hobbing, gear grinding, heat shrink, laser welding, and electrochemical processing. EMAG has successfully proved its strength with success by offering state-of-the-art one-stop processing from raw part to finished part. Today, all nine technologies have been brought into the new era of IoT development, and comprehensively upgraded around intelligent automation, digitalization and sustainability.
