PAPF international forum deepens mutual trust across borders

The People's Armed Police Force held an international forum in Beijing earlier this week to enhance communication and cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

The two-day Great Wall-2022 International Forum on Counterterrorism opened on Tuesday at a PAPF training base in Beijing with more than 170 participants from the public security forces of 30 nations including Russia, Italy and Pakistan, the PAPF said in a statement.

General Wang Chunning, the PAPF's commander, said at the forum's opening ceremony that the nations taking part in the forum should share responsibilities, advance cooperation and ensure common security.

During the event, participants discussed counterterrorism collaboration and the deployment of unmanned hardware for anti-terrorism combat in urban or mountainous regions. The forum has helped deepen mutual trust and exchange among officers, according to the statement.

This is the fourth time the PAPF has organized the international counterterrorism forum. The first Great Wall forum was held in November 2016, the second in May 2018 and the third in June 2019.
