Universities encouraged to use expertise to help businesses with technological and industrial development

China will push for 1,000 universities to support 10,000 companies with their technological advancement and industrial development in the next five years, a new notice said on Monday.
Issued by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the notice called for in-depth integration between universities and enterprises.
Partnership and cooperation should focus on achieving breakthroughs in key bottlenecks and on transferring the scientific and technological achievements of universities to companies.
