Shaanxi TV to telecast Silk Road gala

The 2022 Silk Road Carnival and Silk Road Spring Festival Gala will be broadcast by Shaanxi Satellite TV at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, the start of the Year of the Tiger, the third animal of the Chinese zodiac.

Organized by the Bauhinia Culture Group, the information office of Shaanxi Provincial Government and Shaanxi Media Convergence among others, the gala will show the struggle, the efforts and the development result of the Chinese people from various angles, and present diverse cultures in the world.

The ancient Silk Road played an important role in facilitating economic, political, cultural, and religious interactions between the East and the West, and the gala will try to explore connotations of the road and explain spirits it symbolizes.

Artists from China and overseas countries will show the beauty of the integration of Chinese culture and overseas cultures in the forms of music, opera, acrobatics and dancing. Besides traditional art, some new trendy music will be a highlight of the gala as well.

Twelve overseas media platforms will broadcast the gala during Spring Festival.
