The three decades, for Koishibayev, is a very short period in history but key to China and Kazakhstan because the bilateral relations have reached a "very high" level of permanent comprehensive strategic partnership and will usher in an even brighter future.

Koishibayev said the unrest did not target on foreign nationals, including the Chinese and their properties, or the two countries' joint projects. "Our foreign economic strategy will be the same," he said.
