Noodles a tasty way to boost Guangxi development

Liuzhou river snail rice noodles are a famous snack in Guangxi and also a national intangible cultural heritage product. In recent years, Liuzhou has promoted the high-quality development of the entire river snail rice noodles industrial chain with the concept of industrialization. This has gradually realized automatic, intelligent and large-scale production, creating more than 300,000 jobs, and helping more than 5,500 households and 28,000 people to lift themselves out of poverty.

Data show that in 2020, the sales revenue of Liuzhou's packaged river snail rice noodles reached nearly 11 billion yuan ($1.69 billion), that of supporting and derivative products exceeded 13 billion yuan, and that of physical stores hit 11.8 billion yuan. The products have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions overseas, transforming this local snack into an international industry.
