For Wuken Shawuerhan, a fourth-year student at Dalian University of Foreign Languages, making films has always been one of his favorite things to do. When it came time for him to choose a topic for his graduation project, he decided to make a video about his hometown, Habahe county of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, to answer questions he has been asked many times and reveal what Xinjiang really looks like. In doing so, the youth of the Kazakh ethnic group highlighted one of the most important events of the year in his hometown: the Winter Slaughter Festival.
