Newborn baby rescued during flood

Firefighters successfully evacuated a newborn infant trapped in the flood last Saturday in Tongren, Guizhou province.
Zeng Lei, a member of the local rescue detachment, wrapped the sleeping baby tightly to his chest with his raincoat, and then slowly moved to a safe place.
Heavy rain hit some districts and counties in Tongren last Saturday. Flooding, landslides blocked roads and trapped residents. As of last Sunday, the local fire department has successfully rescued and evacuated more than 100 residents.
