Beijing adds 9 new coronovirus cases
Beijing announced on Wednesday night that nine new coronavirus pneumonia cases were confirmed between Wednesday noon and evening, taking the confirmed total to 111 as of 8 pm Wednesday, according to the capital's health authorities.
The Beijing Municipal Health Commission said on Wednesday evening that all of the new confirmed patients had been sent to designated hospitals for further treatment. Among the new confirmed cases, seven had traveled to Central China's Hubei province and other provinces, while two had close contact with previously confirmed cases.
By 8 pm on Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Beijing had risen to 111 and one patient was dead, according to the capital's health commission.
Among the confirmed cases, four patients were discharged from the hospital and 106 had been quarantined for medical treatment at designated local hospitals with 14 showing serious symptoms and two in critical condition, the capital's health commission said.
