2. 5G technology will be applied and utilized in a wide range of sectors this year, enabling development of the internet of things, virtual reality, augmented reality and the industrial internet. While the internet of vehicles and driverless cars are considered one of the immediate applications of 5G technology, fields such as manufacturing, energy, public security, healthcare and finance have enormous potential for 5G.
