China bags two golds at World Grand Prix Final

China and South Korea topped the medal table with two golds each at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final, which concluded in Moscow on Saturday.

Olympic champion Zheng Shuyin defeated Serbian Milicia Mandic in the over-67 kilograms final, with compatriot Gao Pan adding a bronze for China after Britain's Bianca Walkden withdrew due to an injury.

Luo Zongshi clinched the under-57kg gold for China by beating Turkey's Hatice Kubra Ilgun. American Anastasija Zolotic secured bronze with a victory over Canadian Skylar Park.

Russia, Serbia, Italy and Cote d'Ivoire also claimed golds in the Russian capital.

Doncic matches Jordan as Mavs maul Pelicans

Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic put his name alongside that of NBA icon Michael Jordan on Saturday as he scored 28 points in the Dallas Mavericks' 130-84 rout of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Doncic also handed out nine assists and grabbed six rebounds in 26 minutes on the floor. It was his 18th straight game with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.

That tied him with six-time NBA champion Jordan for the longest such streak since the NBA/ABA merger in the 1970s. The only other player in NBA history to achieve the feat is Oscar Robertson.

Seven-foot-four Serbian Boban Marjanovic had season highs of 15 points and 16 rebounds for Dallas.

Knicks lose first game since Fizdale firing

Julius Randle missed a free throw with 0.1 seconds left, sending New York to a 104-103 loss against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night in the Knicks' first game since firing coach David Fizdale.

The Knicks were much more competitive under interim coach Mike Miller than they had been in recent games under Fizdale, who was fired on Friday.

They chased after rebounds and loose balls throughout the fourth quarter, erasing an 11-point deficit and giving themselves a shot at overtime when Randle was fouled while trying to put back the rebound of a scramble.

He calmly made the first free throw but the second was long, sending New York to a ninth straight loss and a 4-19 record.

TJ Warren scored 25 points and Domantas Sabonis had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Pacers.

The Knicks lost by 44 and 37 in their last two games under Fizdale and he was fired on Friday after running practice.

Solskjaer slams racism at Manchester derby

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer demanded a life ban from all soccer grounds for the spectator who allegedly aimed racist monkey chants at his team's Brazilian midfielder Fred on Saturday.

United's 2-1 Premier League derby win over neighbor and defending champion Manchester City was overshadowed by a series of ugly incidents at Etihad Stadium.

Solskjaer said both Fred and teammate Jesse Lingard had been "affected" by the alleged abuse.

However, the Norwegian insisted it is the individual concerned, rather than City as a club, who should bear the brunt of any sanctions.

"Why don't we educate him instead? It's not City's fault, it's his. Nothing to do with Man City as a football club," said the United boss.

"He's been caught on camera and should never be allowed into a football ground again."

Stenson's eagle eye seals Bahamas victory

Sweden's Henrik Stenson snatched a dramatic victory at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas on Saturday, conjuring a late eagle to win by one shot ahead of Spain's Jon Rahm.

Stenson, who started the day one off the lead, carded a six-under-par 66 to finish on an 18-under total of 270 at Albany Golf Club in New Providence.

Stenson's win came after a brilliant eagle three on the par-five 15th, the 43-year-old nailing his second from the fairway to within a few inches for the easiest of tap-ins.

"Obviously the shot of the day was that five-wood to a couple of inches on 15, so I was very pleased about that," said Stenson, who hasn't won on either the European or PGA tours since the Wyndham Championship in August 2017.

Host Tiger Woods, who will captain the United States at this week's Presidents Cup, finished four shots behind Stenson.
