Participants praise Xi's speech at CIIE opening
Xi's speech shot in the arm for foreign investors
Since President Xi pledged again to globalization and multilateralism in the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2017, he has consistently announced further reform and opening up.
This has systematically been followed by action and rapid execution. We can see acceleration, at a time when adverse forces are active to hinder global trade. Removal of JV equity caps, reduction of the negative lists, new FTZ and the Foreign Investment Law are welcome advancements and creating a more favorable environment for foreign companies in China.
Today's opening speech is another milestone toward equal treatment, which was also appraised by French President Emmanuel Macron at the second CIIE.
President Xi's speech is a big shot in the arm for foreign investors, and we can expect to witness more foreign investment flowing to Chinese market. As President Xi said, the development prospect of Chinese economy will be and must be brighter. We are continuously expanding our presence in China and have confidence in future economic prospects.
